Vincent Rush > 1975 Camden Mets. Record 17-1

Quite possibly the greatest little league team to ever play in Camden, Ohio. Managed by Bob Rush who never lost a league championship or tourey, the Mets success was primarily due to the best athlete ever to grow up in the area.

Darren O'Banion was the most feared pitcher and hitter to ever wear a baseball uniform in Camden. No one could hit a ball farther or make a kid wet himself before he stepped into the batters box.

This was best exemplified during a game against the Camden Indians. We we're up by 15 or 20 in the second inning, and the indians pitcher struck Darren out and was mobbed by his team mates, as if he had pitched a no-hitter.

Vincent Rush > During USO Tour in 83. In November of 84, I met Bob again at parents night at Miami University. He signed some of the pictures I had shot a year earlier and asked me if he could have this photo. I may be the only guy to ever turn him down. The Navy had my negatives and I knew this would be a classic.
